Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
The short version
- The Free plan costs nothing — there is nothing to cancel or refund.
- Paid plans are billed monthly by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, and every price includes tax.
- Cancel anytime — you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Not satisfied with a paid plan? Request a full refund within 14 days of the charge — in line with Paddle's 14-day refund policy.
- Duplicate, accidental, or failed charges are always refunded in full.
- PromptCase is a digital service — there are no physical goods and no shipping.
1. Scope
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for PromptCase subscriptions. It applies together with our Terms of Service.
Paid plans are sold through Paddle (paddle.com), our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller of record for your subscription: it processes your payment, issues your invoice, and collects and remits applicable taxes. All prices are in US dollars and include any applicable taxes. Refunds are handled under this policy together with Paddle's Buyer Terms.
2. The Free plan
The Free plan is free forever, with no card required. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. You can stop using it, or delete your account, at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how deletion works).
3. Cancelling a paid subscription
- You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from your account's billing settings, or by emailing support@promptcase.dev.
- Cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep your paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan.
- There are no cancellation fees and no lock-in contracts.
- Your captured prompts are not deleted when you cancel — they stay in your account, subject to the Free plan's limits.
4. Refunds
Because PromptCase is a digital subscription that you can use immediately, paid periods are generally non-refundable once used — with the following exceptions, which we honor fully:
- 14-day refund window. In line with Paddle's 14-day refund policy, if you are unhappy with a paid plan you can email us within 14 days of the charge and we will refund it in full. This applies to your first charge on a plan and to each renewal charge.
- Duplicate or accidental charges. If you were billed twice, or charged in error, we refund the extra amount in full.
- Failed service. If a billing or technical fault on our side prevented you from using a paid feature you paid for, and we could not fix it in reasonable time, we refund the affected period.
Outside these cases, we do not refund partial or unused portions of a billing period after it has started (for example, cancelling mid-month does not refund the remaining days), and charges are not refundable once the 14-day window for that charge has passed.
5. How to request a refund
Email support@promptcase.dev from the address on your account, with the charge date and amount. We reply within 1–2 business days. If your request is approved, the refund is issued to your original payment method and typically reaches you within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
6. Payments & currency
Payments are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), our Merchant of Record and seller of record for your subscription. We never see or store your full card or bank details — Paddle handles them. Approved refunds are always made to your original payment method through Paddle.
Plan prices are shown in US dollars and include any applicable taxes. Paddle may display and charge in your local currency at checkout; any currency conversion is handled by Paddle. Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase alongside this policy.
7. Chargebacks
If something looks wrong with a charge, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Opening a chargeback without contacting us may lead to your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated.
8. No physical goods
PromptCase is a software-as-a-service product delivered entirely online. There are no physical goods, so no shipping, delivery, or physical-return terms apply.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — most importantly when paid billing goes live. We will post the update here with a new "Last updated" date, and call out material changes clearly.
10. Contact
