Terms of Service

Last updated: July 20, 2026

The short version

  • PromptCase captures only the prompts you write. Your prompts stay yours.
  • We never sell your data or use your prompts to train AI models.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly and every price includes tax — the price you see is what you pay. Cancel anytime.
  • Use the service lawfully, keep your account to yourself, and we will get along fine.
  • Questions? Write to us — we reply within 1–2 business days.

1. Who we are & acceptance

PromptCase ("PromptCase", "we", "us", "our") operates the prompt-capture service available at promptcase.dev, together with its capture clients: the PromptCase CLI and browser extension. Billing and tax are handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle (see section 4). By visiting the site, creating an account, or installing and connecting a capture client, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

2. The service

PromptCase captures the prompts you author in supported AI tools and syncs them to your account, where you can search, tag, organize, and reuse them. Capture covers only user-authored prompt text — never AI responses, system prompts, or tool output.

Capture happens through the clients you choose to install: a CLI for Claude Code sessions and a browser extension for supported AI chat sites. You can turn capture off at any time, and you can disconnect a client whenever you like. How we handle the data itself is described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Accounts

  • Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your credentials and device tokens safe. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • One account per person. Don't share an account, and don't impersonate someone else.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use PromptCase. The service is not directed at children.

4. Plans & billing

PromptCase offers three plans:

  • Free — $0. Your latest 500 prompts remain visible; older prompts stay stored and become visible again if you upgrade.
  • Pro — $8/month. Your latest 3,000 prompts remain visible; older prompts stay stored and become visible again if you upgrade.
  • Max — $14/month, unlimited prompt history.

Capture is never paused, and nothing is deleted when you pass your plan's limit — older prompts are simply hidden until you upgrade, at which point your full history becomes visible again.

All prices are in US dollars and include any applicable taxes — the price shown is the total you pay. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel.

These are founding prices, reserved for the first 1,000 accounts. New members after that pay standard prices (Pro $16/month, Max $28/month); founding accounts keep the price they signed up at for as long as they stay subscribed. We may otherwise change prices with at least 30 days' notice, and the founding-price lock is always honored.

Payments & Merchant of Record. Payments are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), which acts as our Merchant of Record: Paddle is the seller of record for your subscription, issues your invoice, and collects and remits applicable taxes. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. We never see or store your full card details.

Cancellation & refunds. You can cancel a paid plan at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for; there are no lock-in contracts or cancellation fees. In line with Paddle's 14-day refund policy, paid charges are refundable within 14 days of the charge, and duplicate or erroneous charges are always refunded in full. The complete terms are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Your content

You own your prompts. By using PromptCase, you grant us only the limited license we need to store, sync, and display your prompts back to you — nothing more.

We never sell your prompts, and we never use them to train AI models.

6. Acceptable use

Keep it reasonable. You agree not to:

  • Use the service to store or distribute unlawful content.
  • Abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or probe the service beyond its documented APIs.
  • Capture or store text you have no right to store — for example, someone else's confidential material.

7. Service changes & availability

PromptCase is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it fast and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may add, change, or remove features as the product evolves. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will give notice as described in section 11.

8. Termination

  • You can stop using PromptCase and delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone, or by writing to support@promptcase.dev. Deletion is scheduled, not instant. There is a 48-hour recovery period: log back in within 48 hours and the deletion request is cancelled; otherwise your profile, prompts, folders, tags, devices, and tokens are permanently deleted before 96 hours.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. Where practical, we will warn you first.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. If you are on the Free plan, that amount is zero.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via the site or by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
